On the 8th April 2008 a new act comes into force that will regulate the issue relating physical injury caused to the patient due to compulsory vaccination made by the provider of health services. It is Act no. 116/2020 Coll., on compensation of injury caused by compulsory vaccination whose submitter was the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. The Czech medical chamber supported the bill with no comments.
Both from the point of view of providers of health services and from the point of view of a patient who underwent the compulsory vaccination, this legislative achievement takes steps in the right direction without any doubts. A certain legal vacuum occurring in this segment has been removed and for future it has already been clearly defined who under what conditions and towards whom (towards the state) can ask for compensation for the injury that was caused in casual relationship with compulsory vaccination.
